Baby Boy or Baby Girl Scrapbook Layout Kit - 10 Layouts/20 Pages!

I am LOVING Close to my Heart's Cut Above layout kits lately. I just finished the 3-layout tropical-themed kit that is part of the May 2018 National Scrapbooking Month special (more to come on that soon!) I love it so was so quick and easy and FUN to put together that I just bought this Baby Boy kit. I haven't put it together yet, but I'll share once I do. I couldn't wait to show it to you.

Scroll down for Process Video on how to assemble the kit.

The kit comes with enough materials to make 10 coordinating 2-page scrapbook layouts, including die-cuts, stickers, photo placeholders, and instructions. Also includes 11 top-load Memory Protectors. (And let me tell you, CTMH's memory protectors are all I'll use - they are such high quality.)
Here are a few of the layouts that you will make in the kit. You can see photos of all of the layouts here. You can see the Baby Girl kit here.

SO CUTE, RIGHT?! (See all the layout here.)

Here's a process video that Close to my Heart created to show you how to put the layouts together. This one is for Baby Girl, but they are done the same way! Watch below or in HD on YouTube. Enjoy!

Additional Coordinating Products

If you have more photos than will fit on these pages, don't worry! There are also coordinating Picture My Life™ cards that perfectly match this kit. (The Story Begins Baby Boy) I love mixing pocket scrapbooking with my 12" x 12" scrapbooking. You can slide your photos and the Picture My Life cards into Pocket Memory Protectors and add them to your album for even more pages. Here are all of the Memory Protector options.

Save 30% On An Album

When you purchase this kit, you can save 30% on a My Legacy™ album of your choice! (IMPORTANT: Add your discounted album by clicking the Album Add-on special In the shopping cart page after adding your layout kit to make sure it's the sale price.) Check out album options >

Make Two Cards from One 4"x6" Pocket Card + Scraps from Make Waves Paper Packet

I have two cards and a quick process video for you today. I love the colors and patterns that are in the Make Waves paper pack. It looks at first like a mermaid theme (to much delight from my daughter!), but it's so versatile. If mermaids aren't your thing, you can use the patterns on the opposite side and you have some beautiful, soothing colors and patterns to work with. There's also a coordinating cardstock pack available, but I didn't even need any cardstock for these cards!

I love that CTMH's paper packs come with a cut-apart page for pocket cards. Sometimes I use them for my pocket scrapbooking/Project Life, but they also work well on cards!
These cards use the February stamp of the month from Close to my Heart, which is no longer available, but you could easily use any sentiment stamp such as Many Congratulations, Happily Ever After or Flourishes that are currently available.
I stamped the sentiments in Archival Black ink. I like to use archival because it gives a bolder/darker impression. It does stain your clear acrylic stamps a bit, but I'm ok with that.

I kept this card very simple; just added some black shimmer trim (it's like tape - I'm addicted), clear sparkles, and Make Waves sequins (which are now out of stock).

Here's my process video. You can watch it below or over on YouTube.

I'd love if you subscribe to my channel!

If you like this Make Waves paper, be sure to snag it soon. It will retire, along with the rest of the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog, on April 30! Shop now >

You can also get the Make Waves paper in a Scrapbooking Kit and select patterns in a Cardmaking Kit.

Cricut Flower Market Card and Matching Gift Container + Video Tutorial: Pretty In Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the February Blog Hops With Heart Blog Hop! This month our theme is "Pretty in Pink" to go along with Close to my Heart's Pretty In Pink special for the month. (But our projects don't necessarily coincide with the items on sale.) I always say this, but I'll say it again: this is a truly talented group of ladies that I get to hop with each month - be sure to check out all of their projects! They will wow you! You may have come from Lalia, but if not, keep going and you'll make your way around in a circle!

I am sharing a card and gift container that I made using a Gerbera Daisy cut on CTMH's Flower Market cartridge. Can you guess what I upcycled to use as the gift container? Watch my video tutorial to find out!

You can watch my video tutorial below (or on YouTube - be sure to subscribe!). Keep scrolling to see more still shots of the card and gift container and to continue the hop.

I used a retired CTMH paper pack for the black-and-white polka dot paper and the vellum. But our Basic Fundamentals paper pack or Silver and Gold paper pack with our vellum would be lovely for this design! (Our vellum comes 12x12 which is nice for us scrapbookers. A lot of what you can find on the market is 8x5x11.)
I love the dark, crisp image that CTMH's Archival Black ink provides. It will stain your stamps a bit, but the end result is well worth it in my opinion!

This Gerbera Daisy makes me swoon. It's such a statement piece and is so easy to cut with your Cricut! All of the layers are part of one "cut" from the Flower Market cartridge, so you size the largest piece how you want and the rest will remain proportionate. There are a lot of cuts on this cartridge that are great as stand-alone statement elements or you can combine them to create fun wreaths, bouquets, and more.
I spray-painted the lid to the container - was super easy, dried quickly, and give a nice finished result.

Now hop on over to Becca's blog to see what lovely pink project she's crafted up! (Spoiler alert - I saw a peek and it's STUNNING!) Thanks for hopping along with us!

P.S. There's a FLASH SALE on my CTMH website right now for only 24 hours! It goes until 2:00 pm Pacific Time tomorrow (Saturday 2/24). Shop the sale >
